TMD Hosting Will Take Your Money And Cancel Your Accounts

Now writing reviews about companies is really not my style, but when a company like TMD Hosting scam an innocent person like me that just wants to host their sites, then something needs to be said.

 

The reason I say this is as follows, we were hosting a few Wordpress MU installs with them and then they reached 300 blogs which is really not alot. It was on one of the shared hosting platforms that they offer, so what they did was suspended the so called unlimited package and said we would need to upgrade to a VPS to handle the MU sites. So we advanced to a VPS at $80 per month.

 

A calendar month later they determine to again freeze the VPS and now say we must upgrade to a dedicated server. Theres only so much nonsense someone can take I mean these MU sites only had 300 blogs. So we just told them to shut the sites down and give back our left over money because we paid for 3 months upfront on theirrecommendationthat the VPS was the worthy option. They then said that they would not refund the remaining money because we used to much resources, when it was them that recommended the VPS in the first place only a month ago.

 

So we have essentially been left out of pocket by TMD Hosting and lost the sites that we were building up for over a year and they do not have a care in the globe about it. They always try to make out that the user is in the wrong even though we pay our hosting fees monthly without a problem.

 

I know that hosting companies do tend to lie about their packages selling unlimited etc, but TMD Hosting totally go past that and cut the site off even when hardly nothing is being used. This hosting company really does not care about anything except money and I would warn anyone who is going to host with them to think again big time, they may promise you all theseextravagantpackages but when it comes down to it they will cut you off and keep your money unless you upgrade.

What Are Domain Names?

Without a domain name, web sites are specified by an IP address. An IP address is an identifier that is used by computers to determine the location of a web server or web site. The protocol is often ‘http’, which means the browser can expect to locate a hypertext document.  In layman’s terms this means webpage. In the rare cases the URL is not ‘http’; it may be ‘ftp’, which means file transfer protocol. A webmaster would opt to use ftp if they would like visitors to download files from their server.

The second part of the domain name will be the subdomain. An example is “ftp”, which means “file transfer protocol.” If a website consists of more than one server, the subdomain helps to identify the specific server to connect to.

The subdomain is followed by the actual domain, which can be a combination of letters, numbers or phrases.  A good domain will be short, memorable and most importantly, search-engine friendly.
